more olio videos
The first video is the presentation made by Dan Zimmerman at the first Olio. The video was great but I was suffering from Murphy’s Law and didn’t get the sound working… Here it is in its full glory:
The next video was ‘beamed-in’ from Berlin (right!) at the 4th Edition. This is Bill Atwood’s presentation and congratulations to the CCDC on it’s 5 year anniversary:
Thanks to Dan Z, Bill Atwood, Mandy Burbage, & Ashley Cooper for these two!
Olio 6, one year anniversary
A little more than a year ago I suggested the idea for Olio to my wife over dinner. She responded with loads of support and a small dose of realism; “Perhaps you could start small and hold it in our living room.” Neither of us imagined the hundred plus crowd that arrived at the first event last February… With that in mind I would like to announce the 6th Edition of Olio!
olio videos for all
I recently discovered that several Olio presentations have been filmed and uploaded to YouTube. I’ll do my bit and get them out to the people:
Nod to Billy Hunt & Marc O’Brien for the YouTube posts.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the 4th Edition of Olio at the CCDC’s 5 Year Anniversary! It’s got me thinking why every Olio doesn’t end in a dance party?…

Photos from Olio 4 and the subsequent ‘Dance Like You Give A Damn’ party are up in the gallery: observe. I’m glad to see so many people come out to support the speakers and the CCDC (and to get down)!
Right on.
Happy 5th, CCDC!
Thanks to everyone who came out for Olio 4 on Saturday, and thanks to the CCDC for their support and encouragement! The night’s festivities were a great way to kick off the next 5 years of community design! Here is the report on the CCDC’s 5 year anniversary from NBC29’s 10pm broadcast on Saturday: CCDC Celebrates 5th Anniversary
Another thank you to all the speakers on Saturday night, and for all the past events for that matter. Keep in touch and please feel free to drop into another event to keep us updated on your endeavors!
Olio tonight!
Come on out to the CCDC tonight at 7pm for some reminiscing on the early days of the Design Center and Olio 4 at 8pm! Here’s a throwback from the first Olio for you’re listening pleasure (it’s an old recording so ignore the details):
