Olio 8th Edition

I can only say that if the weather stays this nice (High Temperature: 77° F) we have a great summer in store! Starting off the season I present to you Olio 8. The next installment will be at the CCDC Cityspace (downtown mall) on Friday, June 25th, 8pm. More details will follow shortly, but in the meantime, check it out on Facebook.

Olio 7th Edition

The 7th Edition of Olio kicks off Architecture Week 2010 on Friday April 23rd, 7pm at the CCDC! This edition will have a nice twist – the speakers have been challenged to address the concept of emergence. We’ll see where they take it.

Olio 6, one year anniversary

A little more than a year ago I suggested the idea for Olio to my wife over dinner. She responded with loads of support and a small dose of realism; “Perhaps you could start small and hold it in our living room.” Neither of us imagined the hundred plus crowd that arrived at the first event last February… With that in mind I would like to announce the 6th Edition of Olio!

Olio Edition 4 @ The CCDC’s 5 Year Anniversary

The fourth edition of Olio will be held during the CCDCâ€™s 5-Year Anniversary festivities. Doors open at 7pm for drinks, hors dâ€™oeuvres, and socializing. Olio starts at 8pm. From 10pm-2am, DJ Western Front will be laying it down for the â€˜Dance Like You Give A Damnâ€™ party. The door charge for the dance party is $10, which benefits the CCDC. The CCDC is the place to be on September 12th!

[Olio is an open forum for the presentation of creative pursuits. Each speaker has 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide to present their work. The event seeks to spark new collaborations, conceptions, and relationships in the Charlottesville art and design community.]
